Embrace celebrate their 30th anniversary with a headline show at the historic Barrowland Ballroom.
Embrace play the Barrowland Ballroom on Tuesday 10 November, one of a run of headline shows they're playing across the UK this year. It's a big anniversary for them: 2026 marks thirty years since the band started, and this Glasgow date is part of how they're marking it.
They've been a constant in British music for more than three decades, selling over two million albums worldwide and earning a place among the UK's most enduring bands. They first rose to prominence with their 1998 debut The Good Will Out, which went on to become one of the biggest-selling debut albums by a British artist, and they've since gone on to reach three UK number one albums.
This anniversary isn't just about the live shows. Alongside the headline dates and festival appearances, they're running a spoken-word theatre tour that tells the story of the band, and they've put out a new book. There's a new record too: Avalanche, their ninth studio album, came out on 12 June through Cooking Vinyl. Singer Danny McNamara describes it as the band's most honest and open record to date.
