Tribute band ELO & Beatles Beyond perform the greatest hits of ELO, The Beatles and Wings at The Ferry, with storytelling and the option of a three-course meal.
ELO & Beatles Beyond play The Ferry on Friday 13 November, bringing together the songs of Electric Light Orchestra, The Beatles and Wings in one night. It's a broad reach for a single set, and they're not hiding it: the band is fronted by Jeff Lynne and Paul McCartney sound-alikes, and they describe themselves as no ordinary tribute act, playing the greatest hits of the three as they were intended to sound.
The music is only half the thing, though. The show leans on storytelling as much as the songs, tracing the stories behind some of the biggest hits of all time and how the careers of the two songwriting legends crossed over the years. If you've always wondered where the ELO sound sits alongside the Beatles' legacy, that's the thread they're pulling on throughout the night.
The venue is The Ferry, over on Anderston Quay in the city centre, right on the River Clyde. It's billed as Glasgow's most unique live music venue, as much a party room as a concert hall, where you can have a three-course meal alongside the entertainment whether it's an original artist or a tribute act. That meal is an option here, too: you can come for the music on its own or make a proper evening of it with dinner first.
