London trio Ebbb bring their blend of electronic beats and soaring harmonies to celebrate the launch of their debut album Shallow Hits.
Ebbb play McChuills Music Bar & Venue on Thursday 26 November, their first Glasgow date since the debut album Shallow Hits came out. The London trio are touring the record, and this show is one of the nights they've set aside to celebrate its launch.
If you're not familiar with them, Ebbb are a trio from London who weave the electronic worlds of gabber and techno with ambient pop and folk. It's a shapeshifting blend that defies convention, built on electronic beats and soaring harmonies. The gabber and techno side brings the drive, while the ambient pop and folk pull it back into something more melodic and open. Hearing those two things sitting side by side is a good way to get a handle on what they do.
The venue is McChuills Music Bar & Venue, at 80 High Street in the city centre. It's long been more than a pub: over the last few decades it's grown into a community hub where live music was never just a way to sell drinks, a place where bands and musicians were valued and given a platform, where you didn't have to pay to play or fit in with what was popular at the time, and where you were looked after and asked back even if you weren't packing them in. All events at the venue are 18+.

Ebbb are the only act on the bill, so the whole night is theirs. The show runs from 19:00 to 22:30, and since it's a launch night, the set will be built around Shallow Hits.
