Multi-award winning Northern Irish blues guitarist Dom Martin and his band live at Cottiers.
Dom Martin and his band play Cottiers on Monday 9 November, with the set starting at 7:45 PM. It's a Glasgow date presented by Shock City Productions, and it's for over-18s only.
Martin is a singer, songwriter and blues guitarist who grew up on the streets of Belfast. He's built his reputation on what he calls a 'Belfast Blues' voice and an unforced acoustic guitar style that critics have compared to John Martyn, Rory Gallagher, Van Morrison and Foy Vance. The awards have kept coming, too: a European award in 2019, UK Blues Awards in 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2025, and induction into the UK Blues Hall of Fame. He's also picked up the UK Blues Awards Best Instrumentalist Award in 2022/2023 and 2025.
There are three albums to catch up on before the night. His debut, Spain to Italy, came out at the end of 2019, followed by A Savage Life in April 2022. His most recent, Buried In The Hail, arrived in September 2023 and hit number one in the IBBA charts, with Classic Rock Magazine naming it Blues Album of the Month. In August 2023 he played aboard Joe Bonamassa's KTBA Mediterranean Cruise III, so this is a full-band show rather than a solo acoustic set.
