A live, improvised Dungeons & Dragons comedy show where audience choices shape the story, featuring strong language and adult humour.
Definitely Not Goblins is back at Blackfriars of Bell Street on Sunday 18 October, with two more dates to follow on Sunday 15 November and Sunday 20 December. It's Glasgow's original monthly live Dungeons & Dragons comedy show, a Glasgow Comedy Festival sell-out that's been running at Blackfriars for over two years now.
The format is simple: the cast battles monsters, derails epic quests and makes catastrophically bad decisions in a completely improvised fantasy adventure. Audience choices shape the story live, so what happens on stage depends as much on the crowd as it does on the dice. You don't need to know a thing about D&D to get itβthe whole point is watching the chaos unfold rather than knowing the rules.
Every show is recorded and released as a podcast on Spotify, and the venue hands out audience giveaways. Ten per cent of every ticket sold goes to Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity. Be warned that it's adult humour with strong language, so it's suitable for ages 16 and over, with under-18s needing an adult with them.
