The Zutons frontman Dave McCabe tours live at The Poetry Club, with special guest James Jay Lewis.
Dave McCabe is playing The Poetry Club on Saturday 5 December, with James Jay Lewis opening the night. It's a solo date for the Zutons frontman, who's touring live across the country and stopping in Glasgow for the evening.
McCabe is a singer-songwriter raised in Liverpool and shaped by the city's famously uncompromising music scene. He was a founding member of The Zutons, and he's always written from instinct rather than fashion. His songs draw on soul, rock and roll and classic pop songwriting, delivered in a vocal style described as as fearless as it is emotionally direct. On this tour, he's stepping out from the band to take the stage on his own, with James Jay Lewis supporting.
