Festive honkytonk night hosted by Garry King with a line dancing lesson and live country music.
Cowboy Ceilidh: Christmas Specials runs at Maggies Rock n Rodeo on Saturday 21 November, with further dates on 28 November and 5, 12, 19 December. It's hosted by Garry King, and the afternoon is built around two things: a line dancing lesson and live country music. The lesson comes first, so you've got the steps sorted before the music really kicks in.
The whole thing is part of The Hoedown of Maggie's Rock 'n' Rodeo, organised by itison Events. They describe the Cowboy Ceilidh as the venue's 'wildest country party this side of Texas', and the line dancing lesson is there to help you dance 'til the cows come home'. Once you're on your feet, the afternoon is rounded off with live country music to keep you going.
If you're planning to make a day of it, there are drinks and dining packages available, which include a chef's selection of smokehouse festive platters. It's a good shout if you're bringing a group and want to eat on site rather than heading out separately.

It runs from 3:15pm to 6:15pm, so it's an afternoon session rather than a late one. You can catch it on 21 and 28 November, and then 5, 12, and 19 December, all at Maggies Rock n Rodeo, 60 Trongate, Glasgow City Centre G1 5EP.
