US metallic hardcore outfit Converge return to Glasgow for a rare Scottish headline show at SWG3, with support from Sanguisugabogg, Blackbraid and Pupil Slicer.
Converge are back at SWG3 on Friday 20 November, their first Scottish headline show in a while. The Salem metallic hardcore outfit formed in 1990 and have spent over three decades shaping the modern metalcore and metallic hardcore scenes. Their 2001 album Jane Doe is still one of the most cited records in the genre, and it's the one most people point to when they talk about the band's influence.
They've been busy lately, rolling out two acclaimed albums in the space of a year and playing the summer festival circuit across Europe and the UK. This is a rare Scottish headline date, presented by Hamilton Hunter Presents, so it's one of the few times they'll be playing a full show on their own in Scotland rather than as part of a larger festival bill. They're not coming alone, either: Sanguisugabogg, Blackbraid and Pupil Slicer are all on the bill, so the night starts well before Converge take the stage.
