Afternoon drag bingo show with Barbra LaBush, with a two-course meal, a glass of fizz and free entry to the venue's nightclub afterwards.
Barbra LaBush is taking over Arta on Saturday 17 October for a Comedy Drag Bingo afternoon, and it's a bit of a departure from her usual run. Billed as one of Glasgow's finest divas, LaBush is known for serving looks, laughter and performances built on dazzling costumes and show-stopping lip-syncs. She's normally a night owl, so this is her stepping out to start the party early with a Saturday afternoon show rather than a late-night slot.
The main event is a game of bingo with wild twists, crazy prizes and plenty of fun. It's not your typical community hall affair; it's a drag-led afternoon where the bingo is just the framework for the comedy and the costumes. If you've seen her before, you know the lip-syncs are a big part of what she does, and they'll be woven into the afternoon alongside the calling of the numbers.
One thing that makes this a bit more than just a couple of hours of bingo is what comes with the ticket. You get a two-course meal and a glass of fizz included, so it's as much a lunch as it is a show. And if you're not ready to call it a day when the bingo wraps up, your ticket also gets you free entry to Arta's nightclub until 3am, with an in-house DJ taking over once the afternoon session is done.
