Indie-rock singer-songwriter Chloe Slater brings her Riot Youth Tour to King Tut's Wah Wah Hut.
Chloe Slater brings her Riot Youth Tour to King Tut's Wah Wah Hut on Wednesday 18 November, with the set starting at 7.30pm. It's a mid-week date in the city centre, so it's one of those gigs you can head to after work without having to trek across town.
Slater is a 21-year-old indie-rock singer-songwriter from Bournemouth who found her feet after moving to Manchester for university, where she spent her time throwing herself into the city's open mic scene. That's where she built up the following that's now taking her on tour. Her second single, '24 Hours', a sharp critique of influencer culture, went viral on TikTok and put her on the map. Since then, she's put out two EPs: You Can't Put a Price on Fun in 2024 and Love Me Please in 2025, which have together solidified her reputation.
Her music blends alternative rock riffs with satirical commentary on modern youth, British politics and social disparities. It's that combination of guitar-driven sound and a keen eye for the absurdities of the present that gives her work its edge. She's played Glastonbury's BBC Music Introducing stage and supported Courtney Barnett, so she's no stranger to a proper room.
