Liverpool new wave and synth-pop band China Crisis return to Oran Mor for two nights as part of their 2026 Warped Tour.
China Crisis are back at Òran Mór on Friday 11 December, one of two nights they're playing as part of their 2026 Warped Tour. They're a Liverpool new wave and synth-pop band, and the Glasgow dates come as part of a run that takes them across more than four decades of pop music.
Gary Daly and Eddie Lundon have been at the heart of it since their early 80s breakthrough in Liverpool. Their sound blends synths, soul and unexpected textures, and they've built it around pop that's instantly recognisable but keeps evolving. Along the way they've put out hits like 'Wishful Thinking', 'African and White' and 'Arizona Sky'—songs that still hold up and usually find their way into the set.
Those older records sit alongside their latest albums, Autumn in the Neighbourhood and China Greatness. The live show mixes the old and the new, and the band describes it as having their characteristic humour and heart. It's a good way to hear where they started and where they've gone since.
