An intimate evening of heartfelt songwriting and acoustic elegance as part of Celtic Connections 2027, featuring Carolina Deslandes with guitarist Feodor Bivol and cellist Sandra Martins.
Carolina Deslandes plays Drygate Brewing Co. on Saturday 16 January, as part of Celtic Connections 2027. She's one of Portugal's most celebrated contemporary singer-songwriters, and this is a stripped-back trio date: she'll be joined by guitarist Feodor Bivol and cellist Sandra Martins.
The set draws from across her catalogue, with songs from her recent album Chorar no Club figuring in. It's a small line-up — just voice, guitar and cello — that lets every lyric, melody and nuance come through, and one that's designed to foster a genuine sense of connection with the listener. The night is presented by Celtic Connections, with the festival acting as the event organiser.
Drygate Brewing Co. is the UK's first experiential craft brewery, housed in a converted box factory at Wellpark in Glasgow's East End. It still carries its industrial past under the Seven Peaks of the roof, with a 24-tap beer hall, an award-winning restaurant, a bottle shop, an elevated beer garden and a gallery space all in the same building. It's a big, open space that works just as well for a quiet acoustic set as it does for a pint and a meal.
