A multi-sensory musical candlelight tribute to the music of Oasis performed by the Belford Strings Quartet at the historic Merchants House of Glasgow.
Candlelight: Tribute to Oasis comes to The Merchants House of Glasgow on Sunday 8 November, with the Belford Strings Quartet taking the stage. It's a string quartet's take on the music of Oasis, the Manchester legends, performed under the glow of candlelight rather than the usual stage lights. The organisers describe Candlelight concerts as live, multi-sensory musical experiences that carry music into awe-inspiring locations, and this one follows that same format.
The venue is The Merchants House of Glasgow, at 7 West George Street, G2 1BA. It's a historic city-centre spot with room for 200, housed in an impressive Victorian building by John Burnet that opened in 1874. It still shows off its ornate ceilings, stained-glass windows and a sweeping marble staircase, so it's a bit of a find if you're not usually in that part of town. The music will be played by the Belford Strings Quartet, who'll be handling the Oasis songs on strings.

One thing to keep in mind is that this is a tribute to the music of Oasis, not a performance by the band themselves. It isn't affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the band, their estate or official representatives. So you're getting the songs played by a quartet in a candlelit room, rather than the original line-up. The performance starts at 6:15pm, and tickets are £23.00.
