A cosy chat about music and creativity with musician Adam Sutherland and a special Celtic Connections guest, enjoyed over tea and a treat.
Adam Sutherland hosts Brew and a Blether at The Glasgow Royal Concert Hall on Thursday 28 January, part of the Celtic Connections festival. It's a chat about music and creativity, and the title tells you exactly how it works: a cup of tea and a wee treat on the table, and a conversation going on around it. Sutherland is a musician himself, and he's the one leading the session, drawing out what drives his guests and the stories behind their music. The whole thing is built around the life stories of the people behind the songs, so it's more of a look at the person than a performance.
This particular session features Sutherland and a special Celtic Connections guest, though the name hasn't been announced yet. The format stays the same regardless of who sits across from him: Sutherland asks the questions, the guest tells the stories, and the audience listens in. It's a low-key way to hear about how a musician actually works, rather than the polished version you get in a standard interview.

The session takes place in The Green Room, inside the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall at 2 Sauchiehall Street in the city centre. It starts at 1:00pm, with doors opening at 12:30pm, so it's a lunchtime thing rather than an evening one. Tickets are £16.06, which includes the booking fee and a contribution to the Restoration Fund. Under-16s need to be accompanied by an adult.
