Bathing Suits bring abrasive guitars and pummelling techno to Nice N Sleazy, a 16+ event presented by PCL Presents.
Bathing Suits play Nice N Sleazy on Wednesday 24 February, with the night presented by PCL Presents. They're a four-piece from Leeds, and the sound they're bringing to Glasgow is a bit of a collision: abrasive guitars meeting pummelling techno. It's a set that sits somewhere between electroclash, post-punk, noise rock and rave, so it's as much for the dancefloor as it is for the guitar crowd.
That mix makes sense when you look at where they come from. The band grew out of the DIY party scene in Leeds, and their earliest rehearsals happened in the same basements that hosted their own homemade club nights. Those were tiny rooms transformed by blaring PAs, rumbling subwoofers and elaborate lighting rigs — the kind of space where a loud band and a dancefloor aren't two separate things, but part of the same night. That's the energy they're bringing to the city.
