Dark psychedelic rock band Barbican Estate play a 18+ general admission show at 1990 on Sauchiehall Street.
Barbican Estate play 1990 on Sunday 8 November, with the night starting at 19:30. It's a dark, psychedelic rock set in the city centre, and the show is presented by Regular Music.
If you're not familiar with them, Barbican Estate are a Tokyo-formed, London-based three-piece who've built a following in the UK underground. They describe their sound as combining the stark geometry of Brutalism with experimental rock, noise and intensely physical live performance. It's a fairly specific way of putting it, but it gives you a sense of where they sit: less about the polished side of indie and more about the raw, textural end of things, with the Brutalist reference pointing towards something heavy and unadorned. The Tokyo-to-London trajectory also explains a bit of the distance they've travelled to get here.
