Northern Ireland indie icons Ash bring their 1977 30th Anniversary celebrations to the Barrowland Ballroom.
Ash are playing The Glasgow Barrowland Ballroom on Sunday 13 December, part of their 1977 30th Anniversary celebrations. The Northern Ireland indie act became one of the most enduring bands of the Britpop era, known for melodic power-pop and cinematic indie rock. Their debut album, 1977, remains a cultural touchstone of the nineties and spawned hits like 'Girl From Mars', 'Kung Fu' and 'Goldfinger'.
They've kept evolving since then, experimenting with their 'A-Z Series' of singles and releasing their most recent album, Ad Astra, in 2025/2026. The Glasgow date is one of the shows marking the 30th anniversary of that first record, so the set will lean on the early material that put them on the map. It's a good chance to hear those songs live, especially if you've mostly known them from the record.
