Scottish indie-rockers Arab Strap celebrate their 30th anniversary and new album Half-Told Tales at the Barrowland.
Arab Strap are playing The Glasgow Barrowland Ballroom on Saturday 17 October, their first show back at the Barrowlands since their 2016 reformation. It's a home-city date for the Scottish indie-rock duo, and they're marking the occasion by celebrating thirty musical years together.
The night centres on their new album, Half-Told Tales, which gets its live debut here. They'll be playing the new material alongside a cavalcade of classics from across their career, so you'll hear the latest songs and the older ones in the same set. It's a bit of a double-bill in one night: the new record and the back catalogue running together.
For context, Arab Strap are fronted by Aidan Moffat and Malcolm Middleton. They started on the independent label Chemikal Underground, split in 2006, and reformed in 2016, later signing to Rock Action Records in 2020. This show is their way of looking back at those thirty years while still putting the new songs first.
