An Evening with Paul McStay

Paul McStay is coming to The Glasgow Royal Concert Hall on Tuesday 27 October, for an evening in conversation with Mark Guidi. The whole thing is held to mark the release of McStay's official autobiography, MAESTRO, so the talk will be built around the book and the stories it pulls together from his time on the pitch.

It's a conversation rather than a lecture, with McStay and Guidi talking through the book's chapters and the career it covers. Des Clarke is hosting the evening, and the musical side of things is handled by The Bluebells, who'll be appearing as special guests. Between the two of them, you've got a footballing life being unpacked and a live band in the room, so it's a bit more than just a Q&A.

If you're not already familiar with the book, MAESTRO is McStay's own account of his career, and the night is designed to celebrate its release. The conversation will draw from the stories he's put on paper, with Guidi guiding the discussion and Clarke keeping the evening moving. The Bluebells bring the music to the mix, so there's a live element to the night alongside the talk.

It all goes down at The Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, 2 Sauchiehall Street, in the city centre, on Tuesday 27 October, starting at 7.30pm.
