Concert by singer-songwriter Aimee Fatale at The Poetry Club, presented by DF Concerts.
Aimee Fatale plays The Poetry Club on Sunday 18 October, part of the DF Concerts programme. She's an English singer-songwriter based in Hull, and the night is built around her set.
She describes her songs as heartfelt and dreamlike, with a vintage edge. That's a fair summary of what she does: the focus is on the songwriting, with a sound that leans into the melodic and the atmospheric rather than the loud. If you're into singer-songwriters who let the songs breathe, this is exactly that sort of thing.
The show is at The Poetry Club, which is on the ground floor of SWG3. It's a good spot for a Sunday evening — easy to get to, and it's got an accessible toilet and a bar on hand. Doors open at 7pm, so you've got plenty of time to get in and settle before she takes the stage.

One thing to keep in mind if you're bringing younger ones: the night is for ages 14 and over. Anyone under 16 needs to be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over, and one adult can look after a maximum of two under-16s. It's a straightforward enough rule, but worth checking before you head out.
