A political comedy panel show that made its name as a sell-out hit at the Edinburgh Fringe, returning to the Glasgow Comedy Festival.
A Political Brunch is back at Dram! on Sunday 14 March, as part of the Glasgow International Comedy Festival. It's a political comedy panel show that first made its name as a sell-out hit at the Edinburgh Fringe before becoming a regular at the festival here in Glasgow.
The format is straightforward: a small group of comedians sit on a panel with the audience, and the room is as much a part of the show as the line-up. There's plenty of audience interaction and strong language throughout, so it's recommended for ages 14 and over. The National gave it four stars and described the comedians as 'on fire', while Kate Copstick of the Scotsman called it 'a great way to start the day if you are even mildly into politics'.
Each show is chaired by either Chris O'Neill or Harun Musho'd, with up to four comedians on the panel alongside the audience. Because the crowd is so involved, the energy changes from one show to the next, and the conversation tends to go wherever the room takes it.
