Free tasting session pairing Tunnock's Teacakes with a range of whiskies, with a festive twist, for adults over 18.
Seamus's Pub is bringing back its whisky and Tunnock's pairing on Monday 2 November, from 7pm to 8pm. It's a return by popular demand, and this time it comes with a festive twist: the session pairs Tunnock's Teacakes with richer whiskies, alongside chocolate, caramel, marshmallow and festive-inspired treats. The whole thing runs for an hour, and it's for ages 18 and over.
The focus is on how the whiskies' flavours work with warming spices, dried fruit, chocolate and sweet caramel. You'll be tasting the Teacakes alongside those richer drams, and the festive treats bring in the spices and dried fruit that usually start appearing in the whisky glass as winter sets in. It's a guided look at how the sweet, creamy side of a Teacake sits with the heavier, more complex notes of the whiskies, rather than just a few random pours.
