Eight weekly sessions on leading worship in a local context, led by Professors Alison Jack and Susan Hardman Moore.
New College, The University of Edinburgh is hosting a training course for leading worship in a local context, running from Thursday 14 January to Thursday 18 March 2027. It's not a one-off workshop, but a series of eight sessions spread across those ten weeks, so it's something you'll be coming back to throughout the winter rather than knocking it out in a single afternoon.
The course is led by Prof. Alison Jack and Prof. Susan Hardman Moore, and it's built around the practical side of leading worship within a local community. If you're already involved in leading worship or thinking about stepping into that role, this is where you can work through the details of how it actually happens on the ground. Because it's spread over eight sessions, there's room to sit with the material and bring your own context into the room, rather than just listening to a lecture and heading home.
