Free tasting of Tormore single malt, the Speyside distillery known as the 'Pearl of Speyside', for over-18s.
Dougal's Pub is hosting a free Tormore whisky tasting on Tuesday 8 December, from 7pm to 8pm. It's an introduction to Tormore, a Speyside distillery built in 1959 among the Cromdale Hills, often called the 'Pearl of Speyside'.
For more than 60 years, much of the distillery's whisky was used quietly in some of Scotland's best-loved blends, rather than bottled under its own name. Now, Tormore is bringing its classic single malt style back to the foreground, and this session is one of the ways you can get a proper look at it. The tasting focuses on the distillery's signature fruity and elegant character: orchard fruit, juicy peach and pear, with layers of nutty richness and gentle oak running through. If you're into the lighter, fruitier side of Speyside, that's exactly what this is leaning into.
