Over-18s Christmas stand-up show with headliner Ray Bradshaw, host Rosco McClelland and other UK comics at The Stand.
The Stand Christmas Special runs from Thursday 17 to Saturday 19 December at The Stand Comedy Club, 5 York Place in Edinburgh New Town. It's a short run of nights, with a different line-up each evening, so if you're thinking of going, it's worth picking your date early. The show on Friday 18 December is hosted by Rosco McClelland, with Amanda Dwyer, Sam Lake, and Prue Blake on the bill, and Ray Bradshaw headlining.
The Stand bills the whole run as a way to get into the festive spirit, bringing together comics from across the UK and beyond for a few nights in Edinburgh. Each show runs for around 120 minutes, so it's a full evening rather than a quick set. There's an over-18s only policy in place, which is something to keep in mind if you're planning a group outing.
If you're arriving early or staying on, the venue's kitchen is open throughout, with KHAO BOI serving Thai and Southeast Asian street food. It's a good spot to grab a bite before the comedy kicks off. A couple of practical things to note: group bookings for more than six people need to be arranged with the Box Office in advance, and stag or hen groups aren't accepted.
