Halloween Latin party with DJ TETEO playing dembow, reggaeton and Latin hits, with attendees encouraged to dress up.
TETEO is taking over El Barrio Latino on Friday 30 October for a Halloween Latin party, and it's the kind of night that runs well into the early hours. The music is built around dembow, reggaeton and Latin hits, so the whole thing is geared towards dancing rather than standing around. It's a costume night, too, and the organisers are encouraging everyone to turn up in fancy dress, which is half the point of a Halloween party anyway.
If you're not familiar with the sound, dembow is the fast, driving beat that comes out of the Dominican Republic, and reggaeton is the slower, heavier dancehall-influenced style from Puerto Rico. Both are built for the dancefloor, and when you throw in a mix of Latin hits, the result is a night that doesn't really let up. It's a high-energy set, so if you're planning on going, come prepared to move.

El Barrio Latino is at 47 Hanover Street in the New Town, so it's easy to get to from anywhere in the city. The party kicks off at 23:00 on Friday 30 October and runs through to 03:00 on Saturday morning, which gives you plenty of time to settle in. Tickets start from £11.00 via Skiddle, and since it's a costume night, you've got a few days to get your outfit sorted before the 30th.
