Team Doubles Tournament Intermediate+

The Edinburgh Badminton Academy Meetup Group is running a Team Doubles Tournament at the M E S Sports Centre on Saturday 31 October, starting at 12:00. It's aimed at intermediate players who are comfortable with fast-paced, competitive badminton, so it's more of a proper contest than a casual knock-around.

The format is team-based: teams of four play a series of doubles matches across several rounds, with every match contributing to an overall team score. You can enter with a ready-made team of four, or sign up as an individual looking for one, so it works whether you've already got your partners sorted or you're coming on your own. The venue is the M E S Sports Centre on Craigleith Rise, EH4 3NT.

It's run by the Edinburgh Badminton Academy Meetup Group, which is a community for anyone in the city who wants to play more badminton, meet new people and get regular games in a friendly, welcoming environment. They welcome everyone from beginners and people returning after a break to experienced players, and they run a mix of social badminton, organised games, coaching opportunities and more competitive sessions across various venues in Edinburgh, with free taster sessions and weekly sessions on the go.
