West Coast Swing weekend with workshops, social dancing and a fairytale party, themed around Disney, at the Radisson Blu Hotel.
Swing Resolution 2027 - Disney Edition takes over the Radisson Blu Hotel Edinburgh from Thursday 21 January, starting at 15:00 and running until Monday 25 January — four nights of West Coast Swing in the heart of the city. It's a WSDC event, and the Disney theme runs through the whole thing, from the fancy dress to the Saturday night fairytale party, which the organisers sweeten with complimentary vegan cakes from Boozie Bakers.
Over the course of the weekend, the event fills three rooms with workshops and social dancing. Champion instructors and international DJs fly in for the occasion, so there's plenty of teaching to get stuck into alongside the dancing. The city itself serves as the backdrop for anyone staying over the long weekend, and the whole thing is built around a welcoming West Coast Swing community rather than a hard competition circuit — Swing Resolution bills itself as 'Europe's friendliest event', and that comes through in the focus on the social side of things.
