Face-to-face speed dating night for single men and women in their early forties to mid fifties at Manahatta Edinburgh.
Original Dating are bringing another speed dating night to Manahatta Edinburgh on Thursday 12 November, this one for single men and women in their 40s and 50s. It's part of their wider series across London and the UK, and the age bracket is aimed at people in their early forties to mid-fifties, with a year or so either side acceptable.
The format is face-to-face: you get four-minute dates with a break halfway through for a drink. The women stay seated while the men move around, and everyone gets a Passion Passport™ to note down who they've met. Once the night is over, you log in to your Original Dating account and mark each person you met as Yes, No or Friend. Matches are calculated by 5pm the next day, and couples can message privately from there, so nobody ever sees a 'No'. One guest who attended in June 2026 described it as 'a very effective and wonderful act of liberation from loneliness'.

Manahatta is at 28 Rose Street, EH2 2QA, with Edinburgh Waverley as the nearest station. The night runs from 7:30pm to 9:30pm, and doors open half an hour before. Tickets are £20, sold separately for men and women, and there are none on the door.
