Meet Santa in a cosy Grotto at The Pitt, the West Shore Road street food market, with a story, a gift and a photo for each child.
Santa is setting up a grotto at The Pitt on West Shore Road this winter, taking a break from the North Pole to settle in for a few weeks in Edinburgh. It's not just a one-off; he'll be there from 27 to 29 November and then again from 4 to 13 December, with sessions running between 10:30am and 3:30pm.
The whole thing takes about 40 minutes. Each child gets to sit with Santa for a story, a warm meet-and-greet, a small gift, and a photo with him. It's a proper little sequence rather than a quick hello and goodbye, so you've got a good half hour or so to work around.

Booking in advance is a requirement, and every child needs to be accompanied by a ticket-holding adult. It's £8.50 per child, which covers the gift and one accompanying adult; if you're bringing more adults along, it's another £8.50 for each one. The Pitt is at 20 West Shore Road, Edinburgh North EH5 1QD.
