Bonfire Night whisky tasting of Arbikie's rye whisky in The Snug at The Glasshouse, with a rooftop view of the Edinburgh fireworks.
Remember, Remember… The Drams of November is an Arbikie Highland Estate whisky tasting at The Snug at The Glasshouse on Thursday 5 November, from 6pm to 9pm. It's timed for Bonfire Night, and the whole evening is built around that: guests settle in around a fireplace in The Snug to work through Arbikie's field-to-bottle rye whisky.
The rye is the star of the night. It's grown, harvested and distilled on the family farm in Angus, which makes it a field-to-bottle dram in the truest sense. Rye is an unconventional grain in modern Scottish whisky, though it has deep roots in the country's agricultural history, and this is one of the few places you'll find it handled from seed to glass. Throughout the evening, the Arbikie team takes you through that process, sharing the story behind the grain, the estate and the drams themselves.

If the weather plays ball, the night continues on the rooftop garden overlooking the Edinburgh skyline, where you can catch the city's fireworks. It's a good way to see Bonfire Night from above rather than from the street. The tasting runs from 6pm to 9pm at The Snug at The Glasshouse, 2 Greenside Place, EH1 3AA, and tickets are £30.
