Live session by Quiet Light, the electropop project of Texas producer and singer Riya Mahesh, at Sneaky Pete's.
Quiet Light plays Sneaky Pete's on Wednesday 9 November, starting at 7.00pm. It's a live session from Riya Mahesh, the Texas-based producer, singer and multi-instrumentalist who works under the name Quiet Light.
She describes her songs as 'dream sequences' — Lynchian, liminal electropop that weaves sharp, sparse songwriting with ambient, electronic and folk textures. The sound sits somewhere between the electronic and the acoustic, and she handles the production herself.
Her 2020 self-titled debut EP Quiet Light set out a run of independent, self-produced records, followed by Blue Angel Sparkling Silver in 2023 and Fourth of July, Going Nowhere in 2024. She released Pure Hearts in 2025 and is now due to put out the mixtape Blue Angel Sparkling Silver 2 on True Panther, the label of Oklou, Jawnino and Grace Ives — a project she calls her most assured yet.
