Immersive supper club screening of the miniseries Over the Garden Wall, with a three-course feast from Story Feast Collective, for over-18s.
The Cookbook Shop on Leith Walk is being transformed for one night only into 'Pottsfield' — the setting of the autumn miniseries Over the Garden Wall — for an immersive supper club and screening on Friday 30 October. It's put on by Story Feast Collective, led by cookbook author and chef Jody Eddy, with artwork by Alicia Warhola and Cocorrina.
The night starts with a welcome cup and harvest boards, and from there the room settles into a family-style tavern feast of three courses drawn from the world of the Unknown. There's freshly churned butter, pickles and tavern bread to begin, and a dessert of potato candy, set pumpkin pudding and a make-your-own caramel apple to take home. Candlelight and lanterns dress the room, and the evening is rounded off with a raffle, harvest activities and small gifts from Scottish makers. The whole thing is built around a screening of the series, so you'll be eating and watching in the same space.

On the practical side, gluten-free and vegan options run through every course, and alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are complimentary throughout. It's for over-18s, and you're invited to turn up in Pottsfield-inspired costume if you're feeling it. Seats are limited to twenty, so it's a small, intimate crowd rather than a big room. It runs from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM, and tickets are £95.
