Edinburgh garage-punk and 90s grunge band Moxies headline the gig with Casual Drag, marking the release of new single The Cure.
Moxies are playing Sneaky Pete's on Thursday 15 October, and it's a bit of a double-header for them: they're releasing their new single, The Cure, on the same night. They're on the bill with Casual Drag, who headline the evening, and Sheila In The Poundshop.
If you haven't come across them yet, Moxies are an Edinburgh garage-punk and 90s grunge band formed in 2024. Songwriter Dan Reid fronts the group on vocals and guitar, with Rick Boa on lead guitar, Emma Chalmers on bass and Harry Miller on drums. They describe their sound as a mix of garage punk, grunge and punk rock, and their live shows are high-energy and distorted. They've played King Tuts in Glasgow as well as plenty of venues across Scotland, and their singles have been played on Amazing Radio by Jim Gellatly.
Headlining the bill are Casual Drag, a Scottish garage-punk three-piece signed to Glasgow's Electric Honey Records. Their debut album is due early spring, and their singles The Talk and Can You Hear Me Now have been championed by BBC Introducing, BBC6 Music and Amazing Radio. They've supported Joe Talbot of IDLES, Frankie & the Witch Fingers, Flat Worms, Bass Drum of Death and Mass of the Fermenting Dregs.
