Free taster intermediate badminton session for adult players comfortable with doubles matches, run by the Edinburgh Badminton Academy.
Edinburgh Badminton Academy are running a Matchplay Intermediate session at George Heriot's Sports Hall on Saturday 24 October, from 9:30 to 11:00. It's a morning of doubles badminton in the city centre, and if you've never been to one of their sessions before, this one is free.
The Matchplay Intermediate sessions are aimed at intermediate or higher adult players who are comfortable with good-paced doubles and are looking for regular, organised play against others around their level. You don't need a partner to turn up and play, so you can just show up on your own and get sorted into games.
It's part of what the Edinburgh Badminton Academy does across the city, which mixes social badminton, organised games, coaching opportunities and more competitive sessions. They describe themselves as a group for anyone in Edinburgh who wants to play more badminton, meet new people and enjoy regular games in a friendly, welcoming environment, whether you're a complete beginner, returning after a break or an experienced player looking for more competitive games. This particular session sits at the more competitive end of that spectrum.
