Family-friendly guided tour of the Main Stand at Tynecastle Park, with access to the changing rooms, the pitch tunnel and the dugouts.
Tynecastle Park is running guided tours of its Main Stand over the next few months, with dates on 25 October, 15 November, 22 November, and 5-6 December. Each one kicks off at 11:00 from the Main Stand Reception on McLeod Street, just off Gorgie Road in Edinburgh.
The tour takes you through the heart of the stand, into the first-team changing rooms, down the tunnel onto the pitch, past the dugouts and into the media suite. Along the way, the guides share stories from the club's legendary past, so you get the history as well as the look around. It's a family-friendly walk that takes about an hour, and it's fully wheelchair accessible, which makes it an easy one to bring the whole family along for, regardless of age.
Once you're finished, there's no rush to head straight home. The club store is right there if you're after a scarf or a shirt, and the Skyline Restaurant sits on the top floor of the stadium, open seven days a week if you fancy a proper sit-down meal after you've seen the inner workings of the place. Between the tour, the shop and the restaurant, you can easily make a full morning of it.
