Free seasonal makers market with handmade and artisan pieces and small-batch food from local makers at the Lind and Lime Gin Distillery in Leith.
The Lind & Lime Christmas Market is on at Lind and Lime Gin Distillery on Saturday 28 November, a seasonal makers market in the heart of Leith, just a short walk from the shore. It's run in partnership with Support The Makers, and the whole thing is about local creativity, bringing together handmade and artisan pieces from artists, makers and producers across the community.
There's a fair bit to look through. You'll find accessories, jewellery and textiles alongside homewares, ceramics, stationery, art and prints, plus small-batch artisan food products. It's the kind of place where you can pick up a few proper gifts in one go, and since everything is made by local hands, you'll know exactly where it's come from. The distillery also has a light, open space that hosts creative workshops for up to 20 people, so there's more going on here than just the stalls.
The venue itself is part of the story. Lind and Lime was built from the talent, heritage and industry of Edinburgh and Leith's historic distilling district, with a focus on a London Dry Gin they describe as simple and done to perfection, with 'balance' as its watchword. It's a fitting spot for a market that celebrates the same kind of local craft.
