Friendly sewing workshop run by Remode Collective to make sustainable handmade Christmas presents like fabric gift bags and tartan key holders.
Remode Collective are running a festive sewing gathering at Out Of The Blue Drill Hall on Saturday 21 November, from 10:00 am to 1:30 pm. It's a morning spent making sustainable Christmas presents by hand, and the whole thing is run by the collective themselves.
The idea is simple: you spend the session picking up new skills and making thoughtful gifts for your loved ones, drawing on the collective's own list of ideas. Among them are reusable fabric gift bags, pouches, bag charms and tartan key holders — the kind of small, useful things that make easy, thoughtful presents. If you've already got a specific project in mind, you're welcome to bring it along and work on that instead.
It's a friendly, hands-on sort of morning, and it sits alongside the other craft sessions Remode Collective run at the venue, like their Basic Sewing workshop and their Sashiko Embroidery / Japanese Mending class. If you've never touched a sewing machine before, you'll find plenty of support on the day.
