Spooky Halloween fancy-dress party with massaoke and dancing presented by Kevin Bonar at Gorgie Social Club.
Kevin Bonar is bringing his Halloween Massaoke & Disco to Gorgie Social Club on Friday 30 October, part of his party line. It's a fancy-dress night, so you'll want to have your costume sorted before you head in.
The format is straightforward: massaoke first, then the disco. The massaoke part is exactly what it sounds like — everyone singing along to their favourite tunes together, rather than taking turns on the mic. Once the singing winds down, the disco takes over and you can move from the singing to the dance floor. Bonar describes it as a combo of crazy singing and funky dancing, and since it's a fancy-dress party, the whole thing is built around getting dressed up and getting stuck in.
It's an all-ages night, so it's as much for a group of friends as it is for a family outing. If you're driving, there's free parking at the venue, which is a handy plus for a Friday night in the city. Just keep in mind that a government ID check is mandatory at the door, so make sure you've got yours on you.
