Weekly Thursday quiz bingo night hosted by Goose Quizzes at the George IV Bar, with £2 bingo cards and various prizes.
George IV Bar has a new regular on its calendar: a quiz bingo night run by the team at Goose Quizzes, starting Thursday 29 October. It's not a one-off, either — the night runs every Thursday through to 27 May 2027, so if you miss the first one, there's plenty more to come.
It's a bit of a hybrid. You've got the quiz side of things, but the bingo card is what you're playing for. The prizes are where it gets interesting, and they're not just the usual vouchers. They range from house plants, books and stationery to sports equipment, board games and even a hoover, with the bar's own spirits also up for grabs. It's a wide spread, so there's something on the table regardless of what you're into.
The bar describes itself as informal, generous and full of spirit, and that carries over into how the night works. There are no table bookings, so it's first come, first served — turn up a bit early if you want to make sure you've got a spot. It's a relaxed setup, meant for turning up and getting stuck in rather than planning weeks ahead.
