Edinburgh four-piece Fright Years play a one-off rock show at the Traverse Theatre to launch their 2027 tour.
Fright Years are playing the Traverse Theatre on Saturday 6 February, their first Edinburgh date of the new year. They're an Edinburgh-based four-piece who fuse indie rock with anthemic power pop, and this one is billed as a one-off, loud, unapologetic rock show in a theatre setting. It opens their early 2027 tour, which also stops in London, Inverness, Aberdeen, Glasgow and Dundee.
The run follows the release of their new EP, yet to be titled, due in February 2027 via LAB records. Frontman Harrison MacLeod-Bonnar said they chose the Traverse to launch the new songs and to play in cities like Dundee and Inverness before heading to their biggest venues yet in London, Nottingham and Manchester. The London date at Oslo is their biggest headline show to date and their first London headline since February 2026.
So, the Traverse is the starting point for the new material. The set will be built around the new EP, which comes out the same month as the gig, and it's the first time these songs will be played live. From there the tour hits the rest of Scotland — Inverness, Aberdeen, Glasgow and Dundee — before the band heads south to London, Nottingham and Manchester. That London show at Oslo is the biggest headline they've done so far, and their first London headline since February 2026.
