A festive pin-badge making workshop run by Coin-Operated Press at the Out Of The Blue Drill Hall, with entry by donation.
Coin-Operated Press are running a festive pin-badge making workshop at Out Of The Blue Arts & Education Trust on Saturday 5 December, from 11:30 AM to 1 PM. It's part of the MNB Winter Art Market, which they also stage, so the session sits inside the wider market day rather than standing on its own.
There's no prior experience needed. They provide the pin-making equipment, the art supplies and the collage materials, so you can just turn up and get stuck in. If you've got your own things you'd rather work with, you're welcome to bring them along too. They're also asking for donations of unwanted art and craft supplies, old magazines and paper collage materials to use in future workshops, so if you've got a stash of old papers taking up space, this is a good place to clear it out.
Entry is by donation, and they've laid out what the different levels cover: £5–£10 covers the materials and prep; £10–£15 fully covers the workshop costs; and £15 or more is super appreciated. Anything beyond the basic costs goes towards their zine-outreach programmes and the publishing of work by makers who might not otherwise get published.
