An evocative theatre piece by Catalan company BROTS, made up of actors with lived experience of mental-health challenges.
BROTS bring EucaristĂa to Summerhall on Saturday 12 December, with a second performance on Sunday 13 December. It's a Catalan company coming over from Barcelona, and the piece is described as an evocative one, drawing its emotional power from singing, shouting and acting.
There's a specific context to the work that's worth knowing before you go: BROTS is made up of actors with lived experience of mental-health challenges. That's not just a footnote — it's where the show gets its weight. When they talk about singing and shouting on stage, it's coming from a place of real, first-hand experience rather than just a script. The combination of those three things — the singing, the shouting and the acting — is what they build the whole piece around, and it's what gives it its particular energy.

It's a short run, just the two dates, so if you're planning to see it, you'll want to pick your night early. Both performances are at Summerhall, in the south of the city, and the show runs from Saturday 12 December through to Sunday 13 December.
