Festive 5K, 10K and junior 1,500m race around Inverleith Park with a medal for every finisher and refreshments.
The Edinburgh Christmas Running Festival returns to Inverleith Park on Sunday 6 December, now in its 22nd year. It's become a bit of a fixture in the city's festive calendar, usually drawing around 1,000 runners. The course loops around the wide open spaces and leafy paths of the park, with views of the Edinburgh skyline along the way, and there's a strong nudge to turn up in festive fancy dress if you're feeling it.
It's staged by Great Scottish Events, one of the UK's oldest event organisations; Terry Crossley has been promoting events since 1968. Every finisher gets a bespoke medal showing Edinburgh Castle surrounded by snowflakes, tied with a tartan ribbon. The day wraps up with refreshments, first aid and a bag drop on site.
