Burns Night supper and guided whisky tasting for over-18s at the Royal Highland Centre, with James Cosmo as master of ceremonies, live music and a rendition of Auld Lang Syne.
Dram of Destiny is taking over the Royal Highland Centre on Saturday 30 January 2027, a Burns Night supper and whisky tasting that's aiming for two world records at once. They're going for the world's largest Burns Night supper and the world's largest in-person whisky tasting, with up to 2,500 guests gathered for a supper, a guided tasting of three Scotch whiskies, and a rendition of Auld Lang Syne to close the night. It's run on a not-for-profit basis, and all proceeds go to the My Name'5 Doddie Foundation, which funds research into motor neuron disease.
Scottish actor James Cosmo presides over the evening as master of ceremonies. Among the three whiskies on offer is his own Whisky Storyman, which he created with Annandale. The night follows the Burns tradition, with the Address to the Haggis and the Immortal Memory, and live performances from the Red Hot Chilli Pipers and Susan Boyle. It's strictly for over-18s.
