A daytime dancefloor party with 70s, 80s and party hits, designed for over-30s at Club Tropicana.
Disco Days returns to Club Tropicana on Saturday 17 October, starting at 2:30 PM. This one is Boogie's Wonderland, the latest edition of the daytime disco that's become a regular fixture in the city. If you've never been, the premise is straightforward: it's a clubbing experience that happens in the afternoon rather than the middle of the night, so you're on the dancefloor while it's still light outside.
Club Tropicana bills itself as Edinburgh's ultimate retro nightclub and the home of Scotland's favourite daytime discos. The music focuses on 70s, 80s and party hits, and the room is full of neon and cocktails. Disco Days is described as Scotland's original and favourite day disco for over-30s, and they make a point of clarifying what it is: a daytime dancefloor party rather than a sit-down brunch. The focus is on dancing, not eating.
It's a good one if you fancy a proper night out without the 3 AM finish. You get the neon and the cocktails and the dancefloor, but you're home in time for a normal evening. If you're not quite ready to call it a night, the venue also runs open nights on Fridays and Saturdays from 10:00 PM to 03:00 AM, so there's a late-night option if you've still got energy left.
