Free lecture for public sector attendees on Scotland's low-carbon initiatives and net zero journey.
Delivering Scotland's Energy Future runs at South Hall on Tuesday 27 October, a full-day session that starts at 10:00 and carries on until 4pm, with networking until 5pm. The whole thing is free, though you'll need to book your place in advance via Eventbrite. It's designed for public sector attendees only, so if that's your line of work, it's one worth having on your radar.
The day is built around the low-carbon initiatives being rolled out by public sector bodies across Scotland. It brings together speakers from across that sector to talk through their net zero journeys — the things they've actually done, the successes they've had, and the challenges they've had to work around. It's not just a look back, either; there's a good chunk of the day dedicated to looking ahead at what still needs to be done to go further.
Because it's a full day rather than a quick talk, there's room for the speakers to get into the detail of how these changes are happening on the ground. You'll hear from people who've been through the process themselves, sharing the practical side of moving towards net zero within a public body. The networking hour at the end gives you a chance to pick up those threads and talk with other people working in the same space.

It's held at South Hall, 18 Holyrood Park Road, University of Edinburgh, EH16 5AR. Refreshments are provided throughout the day, and since it's free, the only thing you'll need to sort is your booking on Eventbrite. Just keep in mind that places are limited, so it's best to get yours in sooner rather than later.
