Halloween children's concert with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra and the RSNO Children's Chorus, conducted by Paul Whittaker.
The Royal Scottish National Orchestra bring their Creepy Carnival to Usher Hall on Sunday 25 October, a Halloween special from the Children's Classic Concerts season. It's a family afternoon, so it's one you can bring the kids along to rather than a late-night outing.
They've billed it as a show of 'fairground frights and flickering lights', which sets the scene: a Halloween-themed concert aimed at families. The RSNO take the lead, and they're joined by the RSNO Children's Chorus, so you'll have a full orchestra and a children's choir on stage together. Paul Whittaker conducts, and Patrick Barrett is also part of the line-up.
It's part of the wider Children's Classic Concerts season, so this is one of several family-friendly classical dates they've got running. The Creepy Carnival is the Halloween offering of the bunch, and it's staged at Usher Hall on Lothian Road, right in the city centre.
