One-off wine tasting evening where Carrie, of the Edinburgh Local Wine School, presents her favourite wines of the year across a range of styles and price points.
Carrie's Wines of 2026 is on at the Novotel Edinburgh Centre on Thursday 10 December, from 7:00pm. It's a two-hour tasting run by the Edinburgh Local Wine School, which is part of the Local Wine School Network — they describe themselves as the world's fastest-growing network of independent wine schools, teaching fun, accessible wine courses at all levels and offering professional qualifications for anyone looking to start or develop a wine career. The school has been featured in The Daily Telegraph and Time Out Magazine.
The evening is set up as the school's own wine awards. Carrie presents at least seven wines she's picked as her favourites of the year, drawn from her weekly #tuesdaytipple and from past tastings. The selection covers a fair bit of ground: white under and over £20, rosé, orange and skin-contact, sparkling, red under and over £20, and fortified and sweet. It's billed as a one-off, so this is the only time this particular line-up will be poured.

The tasting takes place in a bright, private dining area at the side of the hotel, a short walk from Edinburgh Castle and close to both Haymarket and Waverley stations. Tickets are £50.00, and the whole thing runs from 7:00pm for two hours.
