BRSHES Edinburgh: BYOB Sculpt And Sip Party

BRSHES Edinburgh is hosting another Sculpt and Sip party on Friday 23 October, part of a run of creative evenings they're holding across the city. It's a BYOB affair, so you bring your own drinks, and the night is built around working with air-dry clay. A professional artist is on hand to show you the ropes — shaping, carving, texturing and adding detail — so you'll walk away with something you've actually made, not just a kit you've followed. You take your finished piece home to dry, and since it's air-dry clay, there's no kiln involved.

Each date has its own music theme to set the vibe, and the whole thing is designed to be easy-going, so you don't need any experience to get stuck in. It's less of a formal class and more of a social evening where the sculpting happens around the drinks and the music. If you're not in the mood for a full session, the studio also works as a drop-in craft space and gift shop. You can book online and pick a craft from the menu to spend two and a half hours making your own piece from a pre-made kit, or just pop in to browse their selection of artisan gifts — handmade greeting cards, crystals, ceramics, jewellery, incense and tarot cards. They run weekly guided workshops for more complex activities too, and the space can be hired for private functions like hen dos, birthdays or group celebrations.
